Parminder’s journey began in 1977, when he left Punjab, India, at the age of 18. His trucking career took him through Dubai, Iran, Iraq, and Kuwait before he found his way to the United States.
After arriving in the United States in the 1980s, Parminder built his livelihood as an owner-operator—a role he has continued ever since. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated more than four million miles behind the wheel with zero accidents.
That experience forms the foundation of his leadership at A C G Transportation. Having spent decades on the road and operated his own equipment, Parminder brings firsthand knowledge of the work, responsibility, and commitment involved in moving freight.
Today, as President & CEO, he works alongside his son, Amardeep Cheema, carrying forward the family business they helped establish in 2013. His journey across countries and generations remains central to the company’s story and its commitment to dependable service.

Amardeep’s connection to A C G Transportation began at just 12 years old, when the company incorporated in 2013. As his father, Parminder Singh, navigated language barriers and the challenges of unfamiliar technology, Amardeep helped him establish the business and supported its operations from day one.
What began with a single truck grew into a fleet of 15 company units and 30 trailers. Working alongside his father, Amardeep has helped guide that growth while remaining closely involved in the company’s day-to-day operations. His experience was built through years of hands-on work, learning the business as it developed and taking on greater responsibility along the way.
Today, as Chief Operating Officer, Amardeep brings that firsthand understanding of the company to his work. His story reflects the family partnership behind A C G Transportation: combining Parminder’s trucking experience with the next generation’s familiarity with technology and business operations.
Alongside running the company, Amardeep is pursuing his Juris Doctor (J.D.), continuing his education while building on the practical experience that has shaped his career.
